Feeling Stressed? Overwhelmed? Negative Or Depressed?.... How a Bit of 'Tapping' Can Help You

We all have times when we feel overwhelmed, or feel very negative ("these things always happened to me!") and sometimes life just gets on top of us. It's normal to have a bad day, but that doesn't make it any easier to cope with.

But what if YOU could control how you feel? What if you could determine how your day was going to pan out, rather than letting things overcome you? What if you could reduce your stress and make yourself feel instantly better?

I can tell you that you can. I do it and many other people around the world do it daily - without drugs and without any other help other than our minds and our fingertips!

EFT (Tapping therapy or the Emotional Freedom Technique) is just one of the ways to control your mood, control and reduce your stress levels and to feel more positive about life.

If you have never come across EFT before, please visit my website for more information and to watch a free video demonstration of exactly how easy it is to get back in control of your emotions.

If you are used to using EFT and know where the tapping points are, try this simple script to help you to think more positively

Karate Chop point -
Even though my life is not perfect, I choose to release all of this tension and be positive.
Even though I always seem to feel negative, I give myself permission to be lucky.
Even though things never work out like I want, I am ready to release all of these beliefs and be positive.

TH - I choose to feel positive
EB - I'm sick of all of this negativity
SE - I feel ready change
UE - I am always so negative
UN - It's safe to let go of all of these old beliefs
CH - I just want to be happy
CB - I release and let go of all of these old beliefs
UA - all of this negativity
TH - I choose to be happy, healthy and positive

Keep tapping on the 'I choose to be happy, healthy and positive' and see how it helps to improve your positivity.

If you are new to EFT, try doing these phrases by simply tapping gently on top of your head (on your crown). Say each phrase out loud and take a deep breath in between each phrase. It really works! Give it a go.

Achieving Your Goals - How Journaling + EFT Will Help You to Achieve Your Goals FASTER

If you are using EFT (or any other healing technique) on your own, use a journal to help you to work. Think about the issue you want to address, write down your initial thoughts about that emotion and rate it on a scale of 0-10 for intensity.

Then tap on the things that you wrote down 'he made me feel bad' 'I hated him' 'why me' etc.
After each round, write down any new thoughts that come up OR how your feelings have changed about the issue after the tapping and then tap on those thoughts.

Just keep going until you feel that you have gone as far as you can and don't forget to rate the intensity score (0-10) each time.

One of the reasons for doing this is that it is easy to dismiss that the EFT was the cause of you 'getting over' the issue. This happens all of the time and is known as the Apex effect.
The Apex effect can mean that you dismiss EFT and stop using it - thereby stopping your good progress in its tracks.

However, when you have it in writing that you were originally a '9' about 'my anger about John' but now you are down to a '3' and the issue doesn't seem important anymore - there is no way you can dismiss EFT as not working or it being a coincidence that you have suddenly 'got over' the problem (even after 20 years of not being able to!).

So write it down and you will be able to see your progress.

You could also use an A4 sheet of paper to write down all of your thoughts connected to this one subject, so if you are working on childhood bullying you could write down a few specific incidents or a few comments that were said to you or how you felt at the time. This will really help you to get the intensity of the emotions back up, which can be quite difficult for things that happened years ago. Once you are really back in touch with the emotions surrounding the incident(s), you can then tap through the issues on the paper in front of you - just say the phrases exactly how you have written them down.

Happy tapping!

Energy Healing - Are you ready to Heal Your LIfe?

Healing is a long, sometimes painful or difficult journey and whilst the results are definitely worthwhile, occasionally there is a valid reason that we cannot heal.

In my experience, when it comes to healing, we fall into 3 types of people;

Those who are ready to heal and are also committed to making the necessary changes to do so, they sometimes need help to make the changes (ie from a self help book or a therapist) or get stuck on healing a particular issue, but they are ready and committed to healing - they will get there in the end.

There are those that want to heal, but are not quite ready and because they don't realise why they are not quite ready, they keep self sabotaging and become stuck in a vicious circle - unable to heal but desperately wanting to. They look for help in wrong places or they may try to skip the healing journey and go straight to the happy ending, unable to really deal with past hurt or their life experiences.

Then there are those that do not want to heal. They make everyone around them think that they do, they bleat about how rubbish their life or their job is, but they do absolutely nothing about it, making every excuse under the sun as to why they cannot make the changes needed in their life. In ten years time, they will still be complaining about the same things, but taking no action at all towards achieving them.

Which one are you? Look back over the past 10 years of your life, have you tried to make any progress at all towards healing your past hurts?

The good news is, if you are the 1st or 2nd type - you CAN start healing your life.

If you sound like type 3 the question is do you really want to heal? If not, my suggestion is, stop kidding yourself that you do and just get on with your life. If you are happy being unhappy, why pretend that you want change? Be happy about being grumpy! Live your life being true to yourself and leave it at that.

Don't worry about what other people think - it's what you think that counts. Ironically, making this one small change will make you a much happier person!

Why do we not heal?

When things happen to us in our lives, we learn from them. Even the bad things that we would rather not experience, such as a traumatic event or the death of a loved one, give us valuable life experiences. These events make us the person that we are, without them we cannot grow. That doesn't mean that if lots of bad things happen to us we will become a bad person, nor does it mean that if we don't have lots of bad experiences we cannot grow, it just means that we need to learn from all life experiences, good and bad and that enables us to grow.

If you notice that one particular area of your life seems to be stuck in a rut and you are unable to move on or perhaps you are repeating the same pattern again and again, it is very likely that you haven't learned the necessary lesson from your past experiences.
